Hi all
I am thinking of working in Indonesia. I'm Canadian and am an amateur breakdancer. So, my question is, if I go to Indonesia, would I be able to find dance studios or dance clubs (not just pubs where there is no dancing or seedy pickup bars). I know this is a pretty specific question but any insight would be great. My background is middle eastern, so I am okay with the Islamic stuff (fasting etc) but just how conservative is Indonesia? Also, I would be planning to work in a big city, likely Jakarta, but maybe somewhere else if there is a dance scene. |

just bumping this, and adding that I looked on the interweb and found out that there are definitely dance crews in Jakarta and Bandung. So, anyone know of anything? Also, even though this may make me sound like a party animal, anyone know of any good dance venues (clubs, discos)? I don't drink much but I LOVE to dance. |

There is a regular TV show (in Indonesian) called Let's Dance which is a competition between dance crews, and there is a website called www.bboyindo.com but again that is all in Indonesian. |
