Dear leez,
" i am going to the airport with my new kindle (fully loaded, yes, i've been busy) and toothbrush."
Congrats - what more could anyone need? (Well, toothpaste, maybe.)
Regards,

| These threads are actually very useful. I was wrong when I complained yesterday about the digressions. They have actually proven very insightful about a variety of topics which I had not considered but which are valuable. Takes some time to adjust to the variety of posts, but worth it. My thanks to all..... Now you must excuse me. I gotta go pack..I am on my way to KSA.... |

I can fly! I can fly! Okay, so maybe I can't, but at least I'll land in the sand when we leap....and it'll be an adventure. Look forward to meeting you in KSA Leez...and the other leapers. Or is it lepers?
Yep, unless serious red flags arise, I'm gonna take the leap with ye. and I think we're in for quite the adventure. We'll learn, we'll teach, and we'll make a decent wage. Works for me....when do we leap? I hope to have my visa package off to D.C. next Wednesday. Am told the turnabout is no more than 10 biz days to get the employment visa..and then you book a flight. School pays. I was also told that the school generally expects you to arrive in KSA within 2 weeks of obtaining the visa....this would put me on schedule to arrive at the end of Ramadan.... |

mat,
sounds like a plan. i'm easy, whatever the schedule, i'm ready. i've already settled all of my affairs, given up my room. you can find me loitering in the airport lounge, but don't look for anyone with a mound of luggage, just a gal with an ereader in one hand and toothbrush and paste in the other (thanks, johnslat, how could i have forgotten the paste?)...
goofy analogy, but you know the movie 'pleasantville?' i've got a reverse image going on...all is totally, beautifully technicolor at the moment. at the end of the contract, life may be all shades of grey, but i'm going to hang on to the color for as long as possible. how 'bout them apples?
g'night,
leez

Dear leez and Mat,
Pay no attention to the NCTBA behind the curtain

His heart (Yes, he DOES have one, and it's mighty big) is in the right place, but everyone has their own private Kingdom, and no one can say for sure whether yours will be a (mostly) good or bad experience.
"The mind is its own place, and in itself, can make heaven of Hell, and a hell of Heaven."

Dear John
Thank you for the long forgotten Milton quote. I am writing it down now for you-know-what... |

Dear LOL,
And considering where you're headed, remember this:
Oman is no island.
Now I'm Donne.

Dear NCTBA,
"And, John, just where is paradise? I seem to have forgotten... "
It's in your head, NCTBA, or nowhere at all.
"The kingdom of heaven is within you."
"And, yes...I am that pedestrian!"
Well, for goodness sake, watch out for the traffic.
Regards,
John |

God Bless you, John...and God Bless you Mat and leez. As I've said time and time again, it's all about temperment. John has much whereas I have less...
