Hi All
My girlfriend and I are moving to spain in 2 weeks, we are flying into Madrid but will go anywhere to get work. We have applied to a lot of jobs in the last month but have'nt had any positive reponses as yet. Could this be because we currently aren't based in Spain or is it just difficult to find a teaching job. Both of us have TEFL qualifications with 1 years experience..
Cheers |

The fact that no one has responded is probably because
1. Everyone's on holiday in August - holidays are taken seriously in Europe
2. You really have to be here to get anyone interested in you. It's very rare to get a job contract or even a promise of an interview from abroad.
3. The economy's in the toilet. There are lots of qualified, hungry teachers out there...
and you're from where? The UK, hopefully? |

Good luck - it's tight, but you're in a position to compete fairly on the job market and your chances are as good as anyone elses:)
No guarantees you won't be going home in 2-3 months, but probably you should be OK> |
