MiddleEastBeast you give a whole new perspective on abused spouse syndrome.

Just read some of the other forums; most of the world is full of cowboy EFL outfits who will bring you half-way across the world and then fire you after a week, who simply pay you two-thirds of your promised salary, who insist on the most awful split shifts, who pay you for nine months and leave you penniless for the whole of summer, who only pay by the hour, who put you on temporary agricultural contracts (used to be a speciality in Italy) and a whole lot of other things.

You learn to avoid them, but you also learn to avoid the crappier employers in Saudi.

Dear Middle East Beast,
You do realize that SJ was writing metaphorically, don't you?
Regards,
John

Oh, c'mon. What possible contribution does this comment make to the issue?

MiddleEastBeast you give a whole new perspective on abused spouse syndrome.

It's not a rhetorical question.

It is notorious that abuses spouses often refuse to leave their abuser because despite the evidence they think that things are going to change.

According to you nearly all your experiences in the Kingdom have been negative yet you kept signing up for more.

Didn't you work for PMU? It is a hell of a learning curve!
