Hello everyone,
I am posting this again as I did not get enough of a response for me to gauge the situation. Any information would be much appreciated.
I have been approached by a company called GEMS operating under the name of the School Improvement Partnership regarding work with them as a Teacher Advisor in Al Ain.
I am curious to know if anyone has any experience of working for these folks and, if so, what you may like to say/share.
Many thanks to all,

Typically, when people don't post or respond to posts...it's a good sign. It's the bad ones that will draw posters like bees to honey.

Or it could mean that because of the timing... late August... there are not as many people on the board to answer.
The UAE board has gone very quiet. I assume that you did a search here.

As I don't know anyone who has worked for GEMS - perhaps they could comment on my impression that most teachers in their system are from the sub continent? |

There is the GEMS group of private schools and yes quite a few of them cater for the Indian curriculum and there is GEMSSIP (the SIP part being school improvement partnership) GEMSSIP is just one of the companies that have been contracted by ADEC to improve public schooling in the UAE.
Others include;
Sabis
CfBT
Nord Anglia
Cognition
Mosaica
and others ...
The first two, Sabis and CfBT attract quite a diverse range of negative comments on this board and others. The rest including GEMSSIP you never hear about. So I guess, 'No News' is good news! |
