I've just arrived and settled into my new apartment in Al Rehab City and have begun the hunt for work around the area. My wife has a job at an international school here in Rehab, and I need to get the ball rolling. I noticed that there is a language school here in Rehab called Futures Language School (www.futuresnet.net) and their website says they have openings for English teachers. I emailed them a few hours ago, and tried calling but the line has been busy.

Has anyone heard of this chain or know anything about them? I'm eager to get a job, and this place is right down the street from where I live (although it looks like it's still shut for summer/Ramadan).

Also, if anyone knows of anywhere else in the area that is hiring English teachers (or any other jobs that don't absolutely require a teaching certificate), let me know. Thanks!

Have you talked to the people at your wife's school? They probably know more about the area and opportunities than anyone here. Wait until after Iftar this evening and go down to the language school. They may very well open for classes in the late evening.

As for qualifications... your being there is probably enough to get you something even without the piece of paper. Laughing It is just that the money will be low. There is likely much more money to be made in private lessons.
