Another thing to make sure of is synonyms.
"Hey, this drill is boring into my skull!"
"That's boring? That sounds very eventful!"

I've heard students say that before and I say, "Yes, you are." That usually gets the ball rolling....
I also recall meeting people in Korea who would see me alone and strike up a conversation by starting with, "You are so boring?" It was tough, because on one hand I wanted to correct them and on the other I would think that I am pretty boring! |
