Hi,

I wondered if any of you job discussion readers are currently teaching or have taught at any ITESMs. Does anyone know if the teacher turnover is high? I'd appreciate any contact names and email addresses. I'm aware that each university has its own website, but it's difficult to figure out who to contact.
Thanks for your help,
Cshel

Hey-if you post that info can you also include a bit about the dress code? Ive got interviews at the Tec and Prepa Tec in Monterrey and am a bit worried that the lack of dress code in Gto. has spoiled me.
Thanks, Ezme

I work at ITESM- Campus Toluca. Dress code here is casual, I even see the occasional pair of jeans on teachers, but usually with a nice blouse and or with a sportjacket. Personally I prefer dresses but dress pants are most common.

Turnover at ITESM in general is very low. Its usually the best paid gig around. Overall it seems to be very professional, too. My only complaint is the lack of support and empathy for foreign teachers, but given some of the things others talk about, there isnt too much to complain about.

I don't know about all the Tec locations but do not work for Prepa Tec in Monterrey. They provide a really strange curriculum that the students, nor teachers, nor the rest of the staff understand. Most teachers begin work there in Sept. and by January they leave, they don't want to even complete the year.

I personally don't like this University. A lot of business going on in there without education taking a priority. I know firsthand a lot of bad stories there. A monopoly for starters
