you are asking very vague questions

it will vary greatly from area to area, city to countryside.

I don't know what you mean here?

yes, you are noticed straight away as not being Japanese and you will never be treated as a Japanese. I find this good over all, it doesn't bother me at all. But others don't like it.
as to specifics, it will depend very much on the context, the age group, the city size.
I suppose even things like your age etc will pay a part so your question is very hard to answer.
But I must say the Japanese have always treated me well and I enjoy living here. Japan is not perfect but its a great place to live in my opinion

Nope, not at all. Welcome aboard!

Crowded at the moment, meaning very competitive. What are your qualifications and goals?

Depends on the foreigner and location. We are usually considered to be unable to learn the language here.

About what? As flyer wrote, your questions are really REALLY general, and in some cases like this one, impossible to answer. Help us to help you. There are plenty of "experiences and advices(sic)" here.
