Hey,
I've just discovered this band while trying to find resources for my Canadian Culture lesson (impossible task).
I have two quick questions
#1) Fellow Canadians:
I hope you know this band. Very hilarious. Whatdo you think of "Canada is Very Big" and the Canadian National anthem as a combined musical introduction to my topic? Maybe "Canada is Very Big" is too deep for an intro. Maybe as a fun closing activity? I love this song Very Happy
"It's not what you do with it, but the size that counts." Hee Hee
Also, I thought about "Forgive us we're Canadian." Hmm.... What do you think??? Maybe I'll do a whole lesson based on the Arrogant Worms. Ha Ha Ha I'd have fun anyways. Very Happy
#2) American Neighbours
After deciding "The War of 1812" is one of my new favourite songs I began to wonder what you know about it. Did you learn about it in school? I'm sure someone out there must be an American history buff and can tell what they are taught as Americans. Does it go in the same catagory as Viet Nam (wars that were lost? hee hee)
Also, Is my combination this song and my memories of high school history class correct? It's true right? We won? I sure hope so.
I hope this doesn't overload the board with Canadian content. We'd better watch out or they'll give us our own board (like Korea) and that'd be boring Sad
Oh, and if anyone (everyone?) out there doesn't know the Arrogant Worms, I suggest you find some way to listen to 'em. Very Happy
I used Kazaa. Ripped them off. Embarassed
I'll buy the CDs once I get back to Canada, I swear!
Well, I hope I get some responses. Thanks.

Edited once because I'm a wa.nker and double L'ed hilarious

Are they anything like the White Stripes?

Yes we won the war of 1812-1814 and torched the White House. They re-paiinted it--white.
Be careful out there.

I thought that this was going to be a post aimed at the elevated equestrians that rear their ugly heads in the forum from time to time. Laughing

The Arrogant Worms are a good source of Canadian humour put to music. I love them.

Good ideas. Let me know how it goes...I may try it!
