Someone has to try deliberately getting every answer wrong just to see what happens. |

| I just went through it and I was a precision something or other. I got 77 by pushing the button on the first answer that the cursor fell on. Curriously I consider this to be an accurate reflection of my IQ..so it seems quite accurate to me. |

| I ticked the third option to every question and got ascore of 86, word warrior. This is somewhat intriguing because when I actually did the test in earnest and scored 139, I was also a Word Warrior. Maybe I should have ticked the fourth option for all questions... |

126. Not bad, I'd say, given my atrophied math skills.

On the bright side of things, nobody has been told that they are intelligent as a turnip yet. I think...

We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is an Inventive Inquisitor.
You have the unusual distinction of being equally good at math and verbal skills. This means you are a creative thinker and are uniquely good at teaching others through experiences. You are also a great improviser and very good at handling change |
I scored 82....I ticked the first option for all the answers......... |

Dear gingermeggs,
"I ticked the first option for all the answers........."
Well, there you go. Your doing so is irrefutable evidence of your being:
1. a creative thinker
2. a great improviser

| Just a reminder of what IQ means. Average among all is 100. I would seriously hope/expect that those of us in this profession would be well above average. Just think of all those drongos out there. |

| otoh, I would sincerely hope that an honest test would give a score notably under 100 to anyone who deliberately got them all wrong. |

I got 131. Word Warrior.
I agree...most in this profession should be in the 120 + range. The IQ test, as far as I know, is weighted toward the middle. Remember that 50 percent of the American population has never read one book in their entire lifetime. Those are the ones you'd find around 100. Less than 100 gets towards retardation pretty quickly. I think the 70's are where you'll likely see the physique of an individual marked with down syndrome. The 80's and you would definitely not be a bright bulb! Possibly held back a grade or two.
And this goes for the top as well. An IQ in the 140+ range is far "smarter" than one in the high 20's.
And sure this is trying to sell us...you're a "word warrior" at 86 (with cudgel and mace) and a "word warrior" 131 (With? Something better I'd hope!). But, ya, they're not going to say you're an "idiot". Try and help you I suppose.
Of course, EQ is a greater determining factor of lifetime happiness...you need some money and intelligence to be happy but not so much really. Keeping and sustaining high levels of activity, both mentally and physically are the true route. I read a lot (yes, I've read many more than my "one" book. Dis' American citizen ain' no dummy!) and enjoy biking and also lifting weights a bit -just enough to keep these arms strong enough to hold 'dem books!
Speaking of which, I think I'll take my bike out right now. What am I doing wasting my time on the net?

| I got 135. And it seems I am a Visionary Philosopher. So why can't I find my keys? |

142. Visionary philosopher aussi.
Actually that's curiously accurate because I have this vision .. I can see .. ah yes I can see ... a company determined to separate me from my wallet by means of flattering my ego... |

we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Visionary Philosopher.
This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others and at anticipating and predicting patterns.
This test is actually consistent with IQ tests I took in Jr. High. Actually it was the exact same score. |

I wonder if people who do well on this test also do well on standardized tests?
Anyone want to share if you're a good test taker on those, too?
