I have to say that I too am often appalled by the level of English displayed by some 'English teachers' in KSA. And I'm not only talking about the non-native speakers either. If I had a halala for all the misplaced apotrophes I've seen on official work emails, I could have retired by now! And don't even get me started on 'your' or 'there' (as in 'if your going to do this' or 'I spoke to there boss').

I read quite recently about someone needing a job. She wrote that she is a 'native speaker and that she has been the principle of a school for many years'.

I bet many native-speaker backpacker teachers would not even see what is wrong in her statement.
