Education sector salary information for Hong Kong has become harder to come by in recent times. The phrase 'salary will be consummate with qualifications and experience' seemingly equating to 'we will screw you as much as we can'.

The exception is the official NET scheme:

Primary NET
HK$19,835 to 40,290 per month

5 years experience $HK 503,100 per annum approx.
11 years plus experience $HK 617,700 per annum approx.

In the interests of openness and transparency I am dumping down some information for the period Jan to July 2009 which is self reported data sourced from the career times website particular to the education industry. This is available to anyone who signs up to their free job site.

Please feel free to add to the list below or provide pointers to other sources of data for schools and for private language schools. The more information there is out there the better chance we have of getting a good deal and not being screwed over by unscrupulous operators.
