Is anyone skilled at determining which agencies are possible scams? I'm certainly not.
I have a BA in English, experience substituting and even some postgraduate work in an MIT program, but I instantly get discouraged when overwhelmed with numerous emails by unknown agencies and businesses asking me to teach in Korea, Vietnam, etc. |

Easiest thing to do is deal directly with the schools. BUT, if you insist on recuriters, here are warning signs.
They make you pay
They make you promises they can't keep, like sure, you're an American, teaching in Spain is no problem! that's true, but it's certaiinally illegal.
They don't put you in touch with current teachers.
They want you there NOW
they pressure you.
they don't tell you the name of the school
They change the contract. |
