I have been doing some research on coming to the UAE, and am a bit concerned with something. As I understand it, to recieve a medical card a health check is necessary and certain things are checked for. If one's spouse had something that threads here specifically mentioned was checked for (hepatitis B, though not active) what would happen. Would the person be forced to leave the country or denied medical coverage?
Thanks. |

To get a residency visa you have to pass the health check (as would your spouse) No visa, then depending on nationality and determination, could do visa runs to renew a tourist visa every 30 days.
Ask the HR office of your potential employer what is checked for in the blood test. The X-ray is for TB scarring - so far as I know, the blood test is for HIV/Aids and perhaps a few STDs? Not sure. |

The blood tests are for HIV, Hepatitis, and some STD's. The tech who drew my blood said that Hepatitis comes us pretty frequently - I didn't ask her what happens. It is the last step of the visa process. |
