Are jobs really available year-round in Mexico, or are there certain times of the year when one could reasonably expect to have better luck job-hunting? I'm considering the IH CELTA course in January in DF but it doesn't wrap up until mid-February, and I'm concerned that this timing could put me at a disadvantage.
Also, what kind of housing you would recommend for while I'm in the CELTA course and until I a landed a job? IH has a few options-- has anyone has taken advantage of their accomodations? Or if you know of other short term housing that would be safe, comfortable and economical... please let me know!
Thanks! |

1st thing. DO NOT stay at B&B mexico more or less next to insurgentes glorieta. i had all my valuables stolen from there on my first day in mexico, probably by a member of staff as their lockers aren't safe. they still haven't changed them. scumbags.
find somewhere in roma on craigslist if you have no spanish, or compartodepa.com. no one i know in roma would live anywhere but roma. beautiful and half the price of shinier condeas across the way.
less jobs kciking about than before, but no one i know is finding it hard to find work. IH might give u a job when u finish the CELTa, they gave me one. |
