A language school in Hanoi has expressed an interest in hiring me. They have requested an official, apparently government-issued "Health Certificate." I assume this is needed in order to get a working Visa. I am curious as to how any of you who have worked in Vietnam satisfied this requirement. Did you go to your own personal physician? Is there an international organization which issues such a thing? (I know they have them for pets.) For those of you from the U.S., is there a state or federal agency you contacted to get the certificate? Any advice will be appreciated. |

| What they want is a health check verification which can be done in Hanoi. You can use SOS or Hanoi Family Medical for example, it will cost about $100 at either of those places. You just tell them you want a Work Permit health check. Less expensive options are available at local hospitals. If you have it done in the US then it would have to be notarized. |
