There's been a lot of discussion on the Latin America boards regarding entry level jobs for CELTA grads. I'd like to change to focus in this thread to more senior level positions.

The higher level jobs I know of:

- DOS for a language institute
- university professor or department director
- CELTA trainer (but may only be sporadic work)
- British Council teacher/senior teacher
- International/bilingual school teacher or rector (but unlikely without K-12 certification)

Do other positions exist for those with a DELTA or masters in TESOL (not K-12 certification) and 2+ years experience?

What are the high end and low end salaries for these positions? And, most importantly, what's the wage ceiling for teaching English in Latin America?

Just to clarify - I'm hoping to get an idea of what kind of jobs I could expect in the future and get a better idea of the career path in the region. Thanks to all

Course book writer
Speaker at national and intl conferences.

Salaries vary according to country and whether you are hired locally or abroad. I'd say for intl schools, the ceiling might be 3K a month.
