I've been researching teaching back home in Aust and it seems that most TESOL jobs require you to have an Education Degree with a specialisation in TESOL. Is this correct? Or will I be able to find a job with 2 yrs experience in China plus a Bachelors Degree and CELTA certified????? |

That all depends on what kind of job you want...
But, I have a bunch of Australian friends working in Australia without education degrees. Most of them have a CELTA and various levels of experience. They are working in NEAS accredited private schools, but generally start out only working casual hours, which increase as the school gets to know them better.
I think if you want to work in ELICOS (I'm not sure what that's about) they want you to have more qualifications.
Hope this helps,
Lozwich. |
