Hi I have a question there is a chance that I could obtain Irish passport. Which I know would make thigs easier if I want to teach there. But, does anyone have any info about it. I am close to finishing my b.a. in english and teach TEFL once a week. Are there opportunities there? Either for summer or a full school year. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

If you obtain an Irish passport you can work anywhere within the EU so your employment oppurtunities are not limited to Ireland. From what I know of Ireland (im from there but havent been back much recently). immigration has slowly started, last time I was in Dublin there were a lot more black and chinese faces than Ive ever seen before but still only on a par with a smaller British city like Nottingham or Newcastle. Your best bet IMO is to enjoy Ireland for a while its an amazing country but dont expect to earn a fortune there (its also one of the most expensive countries on earth, a pint of guinness in Dublin is E4.50 even a snapple E1.20. I would reccomend if you wanted to earn money use your passport to move about the EU, perhaps east as there are new countries joining (poland, czech, slovakia etc) who will all need english teachers.

Good luck
