Hello,
I plan on getting my BA in Economics in May. I have no teaching experience but would like to work in Japan. NOVA is traveling to recruit close to me in May and I was thinking of going to see them.

Does anyone know if I can apply now, then if I get turned down apply later? Over the summer I would like to get my TEFL or CELTA certification if I do not get the NOVA job early on.

Please forgive me but nothing came up in the search. I appreciate your responses, I look forward to the possibility of a special employment opportunity. Very Happy

Nate

You can apply for NOVA any time. A TEFL certificate is not a requirement to get a job with NOVA as they will provide basic training

If you get turned down the first time you are welcome to apply again later. If they offer you a job and you turn it down because of another offer etc you may have trouble getting a second interview. As long as the rejection comes from them there is no reason you can't try again later.

For an objective look at NOVA by a former employee go to the following site

For an unobjective look go to the NOVA link on

http://www.novaunion.com and the NOVA link on http://www.generalunion.org

Thanks alot PAULH, that was everything I needed to know and more.

I've lucked out and NOVA is having a recruiting trip close to me here in south Florida in a few months. Looks like the other three of the big four won't be coming down my way anytime soon.

Ah well. I've never been to Toronto. Very Happy
