Hello!
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on their favorite ESL/ALT blogs? I found a few through the lovely Google, but I'm asking for any personal, friends, or just fan favorites. I, personally, think they are sometimes more helpful than the message boards.

| By ATL do you mean people team-teaching with Japanese teachers in schools? If so, it will probably help with your online searches if you look for "ALT" instead of "ATL". The acronym stands for "Assistant Language Teacher". |

It really depends on what your teaching interests and preferences are, doesn't it?
Might I also suggest you subscribe to a few mailing lists/groups? There are many good ones - I like the Dogme group for its focus on the learner - it's all about learner-centred approaches, although it does, I feel, get a bit (too) bogged down in technology-related issues.
I also like Strictly4myteacherz, because its author doesn't take themselves too seriously, while providing some good material. |
