Hi I'm trying to call schools to set up an interview and I can't figure out how it works. For example I tried calling ILA and Apolla and I dialed the exact number that was given on the website +84 8 3838 6788 and I keep gettng the operator. Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong thanks!

Try 08 3838 6788; 84 is the country code.

Or better yet, email them. Email your CV. Big schools like that, who knows who might pick up the phone, or what office you might be dialing.

The number is correct as you dialed it.

I see that the #3 is added after the #8 in the area code, which is the new change in effect. You shouldn't have a problem, unless you are not able to dial out of your host country. Try getting the international operator and then going from there.

Hey, if you're in Saigon. Just turn up on their doorstep or email them. The chances of getting someone who can understand you when you ring - especially ILA or Apollo - are pretty limited.

Turn up armed with all your docs and ask to speak to an academic manager. If he or she isn't in - make an appointment. It's a busy time of year so if you have the quals and you're here, they will probably snap you up.
