Since we're all teachers here, our insight might be a bit negative towards "management." Laughing If you read a few threads here, you will see what I mean. Do you have any Middle East experience? It is a very different world over there... a management system that resembles what one finds in the US not so much.

I suggest that you read this thread: http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=76363 Check out the websites for the universities mentioned and most of them have an employment section that lists openings. Those listed here are considered the best to work for as a teacher, there are others. Other than that, the jobs would be advertised with the usual suspects. Chronicle of higher education comes to mind...

I hold a Ph.D. in education and 20 years classroom experience. If I wanted to teach ESL what would be your best advice on credentials CELTA or DELTA? Would appreciate the insight or help,

So, thinking of getting out of management? Cool

If you haven't spent any of that 20 years in the classroom doing ESL/EFL, I'd suggest the CELTA. I'm not that familiar with the DELTA and I don't know what prerequisites it might have.

Out of curiousity, what did you teach? Something that could lead to university content courses? Like business? I found teaching business courses to be more rewarding than teaching subject/verb agreement to be honest. Laughing

One catch might be might be the odd combination of experience and required bits of paper that they like.

Apply to HCT and ZU and UAEU for a content position. You'll have (a) a better chance IMHO at getting an interview and a position and (b) a better starting salary (sorry EFL guys)

It is irrelevant to Americans. I don't have a CELTA either. They are almost as rare for us. No reason to know about what you don't need or want. I already have a BA in education and an MA in TEFL.

This fellow doesn't need either. He should be teaching business classes, which is a better idea from the top. Laughing
