| has anyone used the a device called " Magic Jack" to make free phone calls back to the U.S.? if so please share your experience |

It uses VOIP and I think that "Magic Jack" is for the US only. You can use Skype anywhere in the world for free or low cost. |

Magic Jack works in Mexico and can make calls at least to Canada anyway.
There are alternatives to Skype now - MSN and Google have Skype like systems.
Magic Jack will enable a connections to a telephone without any cost, I think.
Skype charges to connect to a telephone, but computer to computer is free.
I have used Magic Jack at a school I worked for in Chihuahua, why they didn't install Skype I don't know.
I now use Skype. |

I have both Skype and Magic Jack.
With Magic Jack, people can call me from the USA and Canada using a normal phone number. It helps out a lot when I have to call the US for things.
I use skype when I am out and about. I have it on my cell phone. I connect to a wireless connection and make calls with skype.
Great inventions! |
