Dear Johnslat,

I believe that I've located a candidate for HoD at the new
Whatsamatter U.

His name is George Reynolds.
He can sing the school song already...

Kind regards,

Dear Geronimo,

Strange, indeed. Kind of semi-speaking-in-tongues.

But then, I did revert to a strong Irish brogue when I visited Ireland.

Regards,
John

Nature-guy, we know that you are defending the indefensible for one simple reason- you're looking for a promotion. We all know that. It's no secret. Stop trying to cover up the truth about what really goes on at Sohar College and stop white-washing the place because you may find out that you'll soon run out of paint. Duffy used to be the PR man for the Ministry in Salalah and they repaid him by putting him out to stud! The same will happen to you too Natureguy. You think you are ingratiating yourselve with your "superiors" but they are already planning how to replace you as we speak.

But what about Geronimo and Neil... isn't a dire fate awaiting them for showing up your questionable relationship to Mr Steppy?

Time to give it up and move on...

PR "man"??

PR MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I speak always for myself. Never have I defended or otherwise the MoHE who employed me.

I fell victim of the "system" (Though one would be hard pushed to find how it works!)

Ha!! I spoke only for myself. I am not and never have been a "lipman" for any other.

OMG!! to be a stud at my age!!! You flatter me too much. "If wishes were dreams and dreams came true" I would have fathered all the "beautiful" people of the world by now.

Actually Duffy old boy, I really meant - "Put out to Pasture". Sorry for the mistake. My apologies.

Also, I heard through the proverbial grape-vine that Steppy-boy will soon be putting up his own website and discussion board on the Ministry of Misapplied Science/ Higher Ed with a "special" emphasis on Sohar College. Evidently, most of the material will be "un-censored" and therefore, quite "picante" - no holes barred stuff.

As usual, Steppy-boy will be highly entertaining us all with the soap-opera of Omani Higher Ed, with lots of juicy stuff soon to be revealed.

Do you mean the grape vine in your head?

Steppy boy was hardly amusing... tedious, repetitious, disconnected rants. He was a man with obvious mental issues who should really think about getting professional help. It is an obvious sickness when one leaves a job and a few years later is still so sadly obsessive about the fact that he couldn't cope with it that he has to start a website to attack a past employer. All of us have had issues with bad employers in our lives, but a mature person moves on.

I hope that he has returned to his home country and has a family who can do an intervention of some sort to get him the help he needs.

Vealsediments, I totally agree with you! If he goes ahead with his plan, the Ministry may take steps to sue him. Poor deluded fool that he is!

Poor deluded fool" indeed.

If Steppy Boy or any other pseudonym thinks the Ministry will pay any attention to a website, full page adverts in the local press, or a brass band marching through the streets of Sohar he is sadly mistaken.

Why should the Ministry care what he says? Nobody else does.

McDeal wrote: "Why should the Ministry care what he says? Nobody else does." I think they actually care very much, and so does Steppy-boy. Steppy's wrath is as deep as the deepest oceans, as high as the highest mountains. Like the Terminator, he WILL NEVER CEASE . Some colleges or institutions should pay and pay dearly for their incompetence. Steppy knows he is only one individual, but he believes ardently in the POWER OF ONE!! I suspect Sohar College has and will continue to pay a price.

Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes If anyone thinks that the ministry or the university will even notice his little temper tantrums, he has even a slighter grasp of reality than we had all interpreted from his posts.

Seriously, if you know this boy... do an intervention, get in touch with his family, and get him committed somewhere that they may be able to help him cope with his delusions.

This is getting pathetic... and you are obviously just as deluded as he is...
