haha yeah I guess you would say that. My bad.

Where is Queretaro at in Mexico? Why do you recommend that over GDL?

Would you mind telling me that story, RJM?

Hello again,
I did the course at ITTO and can tell you that it IS intensive. Personally, I had a good experience, went home for the Xmas holidays, and returned to find a job within two weeks. Although some people do not like Guadalajara, I do.
Since I had an unfurnished apartment, I found that I did not like being alone, so I now simply rent a room with housemates which makes living cheaper and gives me company when I need it. (Also someone around to help if I become ill.) The last time I was sick, I went to my homeopathic doctor. It was $2.00USD. I reserved IMSS for things like being hit by a bus, which has never happened so far, thank goodness.
There is inflation going on right now, and there is more competition for jobs because of the economy in the states. However, there are always openings to get your foot in the door, so to speak.
I have a Masters degree and had taught languages several years before I came here. However, the communicative approach was something I had to learn since it had been several years ago that I had taught.
ITTO found me my job, and I havent looked back.
Some people, of course, will prefer smaller towns to work in and that is their choice. Whatever makes you happy and suits your lifestyle.
Good luck!
N
