I am currently living in Taiwan with my wife who is Taiwanese. I have a strong desire to move back to Thailand (I lived there before coming to Taiwan.) My wife teaches Chinese here in Taiwan, but we are not sure if there is a need for teachers in Bangkok who can teach Chinese.
Does anyone have any information?
Thank you in advance.

Keep in mind that a lot of the population is chinese here. Many of the upper-class and middle-class people are chinese, especially business owners and stuff.

Even the famous Mr Thaksin is actually chinese-thai.

I have heard of some schools where chinese children are taught chinese (like yank kids are taught English in grade school)---but I don't think that there is a big demand 4 foreign adults wanting chinese...maybe some.

In fact, loads of people in London and NY want chinese now due to the economics future etc.

At my uni, Chinese is the new trendy language to learn. If your wife speaks Thai as well, then she should have no problem getting a job but if not, it might be hard (for the reasons Pauleddy explained).
