Where is the worst country currently that you can teach in , taking into account living conditions , wages , unfriendly locals, camels, late buses, insects, annoying tourists, etc? And why?

I think they're all good for some, bad for others.
On another thread we were arguing about certain countries where there is a (ahem) somewhat elevated risk of death do to political instability. Do these count?

Yes Political Instability has to be up there. Iraq must be up there I would of thought, Afghanistan...
Maybe we should have a 'Most dangerous' thread. Mine would be(based purely on travel books and Internet blogs etc...I know I should get out more....?!):
1. The Congo
2. Afghanistan
3. Iraq
4. South London
5. Haiti?
6. North Korea |

Anyone got more info on working in Iraq or Afghanistan? I'm young and wreckless and would rather consider the option provided the pay was enough. |

I have an aquaintance who's involved in aviation English, ICAO compliance, in Iraq. Not entry level, though- what quals have you got?

DO you mean Peru ? Because honstly, I'm counting the days to go back to that little ASian pennisula. COme to Peru and you'll see what I mean. At least in Asia, you get housing, a visa and fligths. |
