Hi all

Im hoping to gain employment in China in the new year and I've been doing a lot of research the last few weeks after finishing my TESOL. Im just wondering if any one has info on companys called 'Golden Doorway' and 'ddDragon'? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Very Happy

Both names sound fishy, pretty sure ddDragon has a bad rep. Stay away from recruiters if you can. If you go with one, ask for emails of foreign teachers they've placed into jobs in China. Be wary, compadre.

As alter ego said, "Stay away from recruiters". Always deal directly with the school of interest.

If you need to use a recruiter who is a middleman and negotiates the contract for you with a potential employer, as opposed to someone who is paid to introduce you and you sort the contract and negotiate the hiring yourself - then you should not bother coming to China. Nothing good comes from situations where you are not allowed to deal directly with a potential school. It's 98% against you being happy here should you pursue jobs where you rely on a middleman to negotiate things.

Now, if you are dealing directly with a school then you should consider coming to China. Odds are 50-50% that you may have a passable time here and earn some money once you iron out your demands and needs with a potential employer DIRECTLY. Really, the odds are exponentially against a positive experience here, should you be foolish enough to trust a third party to secure a decent job for you.
