Hello,
I just wondered if anyone on here knows anything good/bad about Training Express in Madrid. I have been recommended to try them from a friend but just wanted to gauge peoples opinions on here first of all.
Thanks in advance for any useful info;) |

Big company with cool people that you report to but the classes cancel a lot and you're left with no wages. |

I'll tell you one thing - the interview won't be like an express - more like the slow train to Peking. I had an interview with TE in September and it was trickier than a phd via-voce exam. It went on for ages.
Then they told me they were interested and would be in touch - but didn't commit themselves to a date.
then they rang me three weeks later.
then I already had a job.
and that's it.

It's written into our contract where I work in CZthat if the student doesn't give you 24 hours notice of cancellation they still have to pay for the class.. People cancel so much 5 minutes before the lesson is due to start that if I didn't have this I probably couldn't pay my rent!
Is this a common thing in school contracts? |

Hola!
Well I ended up working for them for 6 months and am now back in the UK working. I would definitely recommend them as a company as they provide all the necessary resources (which after speaking to other teachers ends up being quite a bonus!).
They also pay promptly and the staff are great in the office too. Classes can be quite spread out but this is quite usual for company classes, just make sure you like centrally not Casa de Campo where I lived! It just makes your day travelling incredibly longer than it should be.
If you want to know anything else just ask.
Cheers |
