Hello there,

I was hoping if someone could give me more information about NAC in all terms, that is: environment, working hours, career development, salary and benefits. I am located in Alexandria, is it appropriate to ask them for a reimbursement when they mention a face-to-face interview? You know, I have been spending a lot of money travelling back and forth from Alexandria to Cairo for interviews and I think it's not fair for me to pay all this when most schools cannot afford to pay a decent salary and accommodation for a single, hard-working teacher.

Thanks in advance,
Doneen

I have a question about Schutz American School...I am from the States but currently living in Alexandria and I'm looking for a teaching position.
Do I need to be a U.S certified teacher to work there? If yes, then what about teaching assistants? Do they need that too?

You do have to be certified to teach, but teachers' assistants aren't usually certified. However, assistants get local pay which I hear is not much.
