I am interested in teaching ESL in the West Bank and I'd really like to hear from others who have done this. Getting paid is not important but finding out about various programs is. Already did a Google search and contacted a couple of organizations but I can't help wondering about other, not widely advertised, possibilities. If you have done this or know of programs, please let me know. Personal experiences about what to expect would also be great.

Thanks.

Good that getting paid is not important because it isn't really an option in the West Bank Shocked

I have seen a few teachers who have taught ESL in Palestine, although they are all Palestinian.

What to expect? Not much at all. If you actually did venture into the West Bank, I wouldn't expect much security at all.

There's a UK university charity that sends volunteer teachers to Palestine in the summer months. Google UNIPAL for more info.

Have you consider VSO or if you had your mind set on helping Palestinians you could try the ISM.
