Hey all, new here. Graduated a few months ago, just finally saved up enough to take a course!
Does anyone know of this course? http://www.tlieurope.com/TEFL%20courses/tefl_certificate.htm
If so, would love a bit of feedback! |

Hi,
I just completed the CertTESOL at TLI. It was a brilliant experience, although the fact that our course group got on so well may have had something to do with it! Retrospectively it was well worth it. The TLI tutors were very good, it was clear they had a great deal of experience and always made time for queries and feedback. I would advise calling or visiting the school over email when trying to contact them, however, as they tend to be very busy.
I should point out that this course is by no means a walk in the park. This probably applies to all CertTESOL courses but you HAVE to fully commit to the whole four weeks. I was in a similar position to you, having graduated this year, and university studies are totally different from this course. You have to be prepared for an intense workload. Don't expect to get a full nights sleep towards the end of the course! |

cheers for the info, I rang them this morning but he wasn't sure if there were places left...
got home today and got a message saying I need to book an interview. May I ask what the interview consisted of IDL? What kind of questions can I expect? |

I wouldn't worry too much about the interview, its more of an informal chat to make sure you can handle the course! As long as you have done some research into ESL teaching and are able to demonstrate your motivations for getting into ESL teaching you'll be fine. |

TLI are pretty good, I hear - solid reputation and no horror stories that I know of. It's a CertTESOL, too - a proper, recognised qualification. |

Just in case anyone finds this and is wondering what the school is like...it's great, it really is.
The course was run so well, and the instructors were always there to help - even during lunch breaks etc.
If somebody is thinking of taking a TESOL course in Scotland, I'd fully recommend this one, it was great! hard work, but great nonetheless. |
