I voted "not too much". I think the Christmas season is too short in Mexico - after Nochebuena it seems to be gone and forgotten. I combine the best of both worlds - Nochebuena with the in-laws and then a quiet 25th with my wife more or less doing what I'd be doing in England - my wife loves Christmas pudding, when I can find it. I absolutely refuse to go shopping on the 25th, even though many shops seem to be open. We respect Boxing Day too, although it doesn't have any significance here. Come to think of it, I really don't do anything until after New Year! Very Happy

The Xmas season is actually very long in Mexico. It stretches from the start of the Posada time, on Dec. 16th and runs right through Jan 6th for King's Day and finishes officially on February 2nd for the Candelaria, and tamales and hot chocolate.
For those new to Christmas in Mexico, here is some info.

Technically speaking, that's true, but despite that I always feel a little let down after Christmas. That festive feeling just doesn't seem to be there. For example, TV, not one of Mexico's strengths, seems to return to regular scheduling almost immediately. It's just those little things that I miss. I suppose it could be because I'm not a religious person and can't get involved in that side of things.
