Hi everybody. I'm looking for an ESL job in Mexico City and I would like to get the equivalency of all my degrees and certificates but I don't know where to send my papers. I've tried the Ministry of Education but can't find anything. Does anybody have any information?

I don't think there is a way to get the equivalency of your degrees and certificates in Mexico. Even if there were, it wouldn't be necessary, and by the time you'd finished the bureaucratic process, if it were like most things in this country, you'd probably be old enough to retire before getting the task completed. The standard procedure is to get them apostiled (apostilized? apostilated? Confused ) or the equivalent procedure in the country/countries where the degrees and certificates were issued.

I agree with Ben. Most immigration departments only ask for you certificates to be apostilated by the Mexican consulate closest to where you got your degree(s). Sometimes they ask for nothing at all. It depends on the day of the week. Rolling Eyes

I would suggest landing the teaching job before you go through the apostille process, particularly for Mexico City. Save yourself some of the red tape.
