Sorry, I'm yet to not provoke a cynical reply from you I see.

What part of Blighty are you from? I'm heading back in the summer and perhaps you can help me brush up my British before I do Rolling Eyes

Shmooj,

Nah, cynicism is not in my nature!

I'm in Wiltshire, at least until I get the qualifications to safely put 6000 miles between me and this hole.

What about you - where are you from in the UK?
Is the move back a permanent one or a fleeting visit?

Ah Wilts - that explains it Wink
I'm not really from anywhere in the UK but we have a house being rented in Stockton on Tees. I know the Northeast and East Anglia pretty well though.

It will be one fleeting and one longer visit. I have to present at a conference in Glasgow and then a week later come back for three weeks leave... ah the joys of a new job at the British Council Cool

Thanks Gordon!

It's good to hear someone else's opinion about the characters. I've seen someone's take on how a couple of people reacted to Tokyo -- ok, it scared me a little, but it didn't scare me away. I can now think more realistically about how I will react to Japan. No worries, come the end of August, I will be in Japan. Very Happy
