I got an email from some person calling themself "Engr.Jean Claude Lecordier". He wants me to give him my resume and some recent pictures of myself so he might have his lawyer arrange for me to come to France and help him and his wife with their English...
Does this sound fishy to anyone else? At first I figured "Why not?" because it's not like he'll have my bank account numbers. However, he would have my phone, address, and the picture...
I got a job in Thailand, by the way, for those of you who might know my other posts. Europe is where I want to go, eventually, but seeing as how I have a job now (which I am super excited about!) and this just doesn't seem right, I don't think I'll jump dumb here.
So, I submit this to the Cafe community as a warning about a potential scam, or a wonderful opportunity - if the more experienced contributors here have anything to say? |

Knexus,
Something similiar (identical ?) to this offer was reported in a post to this forum a few months ago. Use Dave's search facility (on "scams") if you want to look it up. As someone on this forum once said : "if it's too good to be true - then it isn't" (or something like that !)

Why would somebody in France take the trouble to try to get people from overseas, if it weren't a scam? It's not like there aren't British people in France and the rest of Western Europe who are on the lookout for a better job. |
