| What time do university gigs in China usually finish? I used to work at universities in Korea but they were split shift meaning you could just watch movies or read books during your free time. |

| The local teachers FAOs etc. probably keep their work at a fairly low profile, too. |
From what I have observed over the years, this has never been the case. Just last week, one of my students told me that one of her exams was rescheduled as her Chinese teacher flew to another city to take care of his side business. This seems to be a common occurrence among Chinese teachers I have worked with. And every FAO I have ever worked for has been heavily engaged in recruiting or some other outside business activity, sometimes disappearing for days at a time. |

Why focus only on kids?
In Hangzhou there are probably numerous training centers that also focus on adult education...and most adult English classes are held from 6 PM onwards during the week.
I would bet, though, that doing kid classes at training centers would mean working most weekends...when I was living in Shanghai I had a few kids classes only on weekends.
Do some research and find out all the addresses of training centers in Hangzhou and when you get there do the rounds, drop off your resume, give them your schedule and preferred working hours...and wait for them to call you in for a gig. |

| I guess my mistake. Maybe it is just that 80 percent of the work in Taipei is teaching children. There are probably 20 native speakers teaching children for every one teaching adults. |
