Can anyone advise regarding the working conditions of ZU faculty (more specifically business faculty)? What are the teaching loads, how is accomodation, salary levels etc ? I am aware this is an ESL forum but I also come here a lot |

No employer is perfect, but we have had almost no complaints at all about ZU over the years. The accommodations are the same standard as the other tertiary government employers... which means it is often the luck of the draw as to what is available when you arrive... and will be spread around the city of Dubai or Abu Dhabi, but nearly always fine to very nice. (normally a 2-bdrm flat unless you have lots of kiddies) I believe that they offer the same 30,000 DHs furniture allowance as HCT.
The last starting salaries mentioned here were in the 13-15.000 a month range for MAs depending on experience. If you have a PhD, I'd think a bit higher depending on years taught. I don't know if the benefit package differs much for PhDs or if you are content versus EFL.
Hopefully we have someone around who can fill in the blanks.
