What I see going on here is consolidation of the industry, that is all. The demand to learn English is still there it is just that dodgy operators are falling off due to their shoddy systems.

This, in the long run, may be a good thing for ESL teachers, because as the industry consolidates, the companies left will want a higher standard of teacher (as clients will demand higher quality education), and eventualy that will translate to a more professional teacher who will/should be able to command a higher pay than currently

Which are the non-dodgy operators out there? They are all pretty much the same..
