Does anyone know how to set up voicemail with telcel?

I got my cell phone today, but I have no idea how to access the voicemail or set it up.

I couldn't sign up for a monthly plan because you need an FM-3 for that. Can you even have voicemail if you just buy minutes?

Thanks,

Melanie

I believe I've always had voicemail with Telcel. I don't remember setting it up or anything, and I've always paid with credit.

If someone leaves you a message, you must dial *86 to access your inbox. I believe you are charged for accessing the message.

I have voicemail without a plan, but as far as I recall it wasn't activated until I asked for it at a Telcel Service Centre. However this was several years ago, it might be different now.
