Moved here from Korea about 4 years ago after about 10 years there. Had a lot of stuff to ship here (excluding furniture about 27 sizeable boxes). Used a small shipping company that at that time cost about 700,000 won and with insurance was less than 1,000,000. Can't recall the name of the company right now, but can take a look through old documents to see if I still have their info. They packed everything carefully (art work, glasses, what not). Everything was delivered right to my door here within 3 weeks. If you don't speak Korean, you may need a Korean friend to help you as they do NOT speak English at this place. Will get back to you if I find something. |

You can get in touch with Asian Tigers and get a quote:

I know lots of people who have used this company in the past and they all say great things about them. |

Had a look for the documents from the shipping company, but can't find them. Guessing I threw them out. Sorry about that. |

I used Allied Pickfords when I moved from Korea to Hong Kong, and they were great. My contact was a terrific young woman named Estelle Lee, and she was very prompt and thorough whenever I had a question or concern. I don't know if she's still employed there -- this was summer 08 -- but here's the info:
E: estelle.lee [at] alliedpickfords.co.kr
www.allied.com
www.alliedpickfords.co.kr
My very strong advice would be to hire one company for door-to-door delivery. It might be a little more expensive, but it is not worth the hassle of trying to find someone in HK to do it. |

GLS Korea.
2 weeks and about 1750 pounds for half a container. Great service and would fully endorse anyone elses' decision to use them if coming the same route. |
