My personal preference is for a Modified Italic which my Art teacher introduced me to to 50 years ago.
I am surprised to see some teachers in the region still using the cursive that went out of fashion about the time Harold Mamillan was in Number 10.
It is also quite difficult to read ! |
Uncle Scott, did you forget that we are living in the 21st century, and that cursive writing is an old English culture which died a long time ago!
Students of today are I-pod and I-phone technology-based customers which use touch-screen technology to write their messages and homework, and with a push of a button they choose any format/style of their writing!
I think, today most of the students use print because it is much clearer and more legible. Only person over 50 (like Uncle Scott ) who still use the 'Victorian' English-Scottish cursive writing! |

If you read my post you will see I am anti-Cursive and pro-Italic. In my day this was seen as something revolutionary.
