This has been in the back of my mind too since I'm a pc gamer (mostly mmorpgs), and while gaming is a nice hobby/recreation to have for a minimal cost, I still think I'm going to buy a netbook instead of a laptop just to facilitate finding a hobby that takes advantage of the locale more.
