Does anyone have any information about the city of Dibba-Fujairah? Is it worth visiting or living in? |

Dibba is not a city nor is Fujairah. Fujairah is a small town with almost none of the "entertainment" available in Dubai. Last time I checked, it had 3 traffic lights. Dibba is smaller.
As for "worth" living in - depends on what you consider worthy. |

Definitely worth a visit! Fujarah and Khor Fakan are one of the playgrounds of the UAE on the Indian Ocean/Arabian Sea/Gulf of Oman. It is the only part of the UAE that has beach on the Indian Ocean/Arabian Sea/Gulf of Oman and as such has much better water than the Arabian gulf some say. There are many resorts and hotels which can be a bit pricey. It is a tourist destination. Some huge wadis!!
Dibba has an interesting history and has the unique distinction of being a 'spec of Oman in the UAE'. If you are up that way be sure to take in Musandum and its fjords and forts.
Google either one and you will have more than enough info.
If you are on a budget, then camping is always a possibility and fun.
I would live there just because it is not Abu Dhabi or Dubai

My apologies I was confusing Dibba with Madha; both, however, still interesting historically. |

There's more than one Dibba but they are all in the same neck of the woods. There's a Dibba in Oman. It has the Golden Orchid Hotel and a beach which is so full of campers during big holidays that it's like a refugee camp. No visa needed to get there. Departures for dhow cruises along the Musandam coast. Right next to it is a Dibba which is in fact in Sharjah; good to go to the harbour when the fishing boats come in. Then there are other bits also called Dibba which are in Ras Al Khaimah Emirate (I think). That's where you can find cheapish self catering accommodation. There is probably a Dibba in Fujairah Emirate too but the borders between the emirates are not exactly clearly marked. |
