				| I plan on leaving the U.S. in about 7-12 months to teach and am wondering if bringing my dog is a viable option. Has anyone ever brought their dog along while teaching? How are dogs as pets viewed in Costa Rica? Is it difficult to find housing with a dog? | |

				| I brought my two dogs with me. A dalmation and a chihuahua. It is more difficult to find a place to rent with pets. You will probably need to find a house as most "nice" apartments don't allow them. This is of course more expensive. | |

				| Gracias Puravida for the reply. Are there some flat/house rental websites that you could suggest? What about roommates? | |

				| Anything with a website is normally overpriced. Sometimes craigslist has some deals but you have to sort through all the greedy scammers to find something. Your best bet is to stay in a hostle for the first couple of weeks and find a fellow teacher to split the rent with. If you are paying more than 200,000 colones for a 2 bedroom apartment, your spending too much. You can check the local newspaper ads online for rentals also. www.economicos.com | |
