What is the meaning of the expression "If looks could kill, I'd be dead." |

It means somebody looked at you in a nasty way.
"If looks could kill, it would have been us instead of him" - a line from a Beatles song ('The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill').
The children asked him if to kill was not a sin
"Not when he looked so fierce", his mummy butted in
"If looks could kill it would have been us instead of him"
All the children sing
He got asked a question that made him feel bad. So he looked hurt and angry when he looked at them. If that kind of look could kill someone, then they'd all be dead from it. |
