Please can anybody tell me if there are any jobs in English in Rostov On Don? I am an Indian married to a Russian and cannot read or write Russian. I can read and write English. Is it possible to get a job in Rostov On Don, Russia? If I learn Russian, is it then possible for me to get a job in Rostov On Don, Russia? I work in customer support in Mumbai, India. My educational qualification is as below:

1. Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.

2. Bachelor of Commerce and Economics.

Please help me. I need help asap. Thanks and regards.

There might be some kind of computer-related work you could do while there; perhaps you could even set something up with a foreign company which allows you to work remotely?
The biggest issue for you, IMO, is going to be visa: What type of visa would you be there on? If you're on a spousal visa, I believe you can't work unless you get special permission. You could try to get temporary residency, but that's a time-consuming process in Russia.
Any chance your wife would consider moving to India? I think that would be easier for all involved; Russia's not an easy nut to crack these days.

Best of luck!

Spousal visa? Unless you're there on long-term, i.e. residency, I don't think this exists.
Re work: if you're a native speaker, you might take a TEFL course and work for a language school.

Cole,
I think that a spousal visa does, indeed, exist. However, no one ever gets it because you can't work on it.
Then again, I've been wrong before!
Good advice on the teaching thing; might be the OP's best bet.

Sorry, you're right, but it's a long-term thing, not an alternative in the short-term. For ordinary travel, you need one of the other visas I mentioned. I think you can be on a longterm visa, but then you have to wait ages before you can sort out work. I think the basic point is to work out: are you there for the short-term, i.e. visiting your spouse's homeland and considering working there, or for the longterm?
