Large amounts have to be declared. I think from 60,000 SR or US$16,000.
If coming here from Korea, do not bring Korean currency. You will get a lousy rate for it. Bring US$.
For those looking to exchange currency in KSA I suggest Al Amoudi in Khobar or one of the several money-changers in Shara Gabel in the Souk in Jeddah. I do not know where the moneychangers are in Riyadh. Somewhere downtown. Banks do not generally deal in foreign currency though some may accept or provide US$'s.
In smaller provincial towns in KSA it can be difficult to change foreign currency. |
